Meet Your Stylist
I have been a stylist for over 20 years! In 2020 I relocated to Florida after living in upstate NY for 40 years. Hair is my passion and has been for as long as I can remember. Not only do I love expressing my artistic abilities, I love making personal connections with my clients and making them feel and look good. In recent years, I studied at the Deva Curl Academy in NYC, and the Wella Academy where I took extensive master color classes. I am currently in love with and using the Milk Shake color line as well as Pulp Riot for fantasy colors. To cleanse and Style your hair I use Milkshake, Innersense, Ouidad, Leaf and Flower and or Malibu C. When I’m not in the salon you might find me enjoying nature with my family and pup, painting with Bob Ross, practicing yoga or even performing Reiki!

Services
My pricing is based off of skill, time and products used. For a more accurate price estimate, please ask!
Fun Hair Don’t Care
Fashion colors take a lot of time in the salon and require a lot of work at home. A detailed consultation is essential before you decide if fashion colors are a right wear for you. Base Price of $250, $150 an hour after 2.5 hours. This includes all bond builders and treatments.
Root Touch up
Does your ‘wisdom’ (grey) shine through more than you would like?
Or would you like to change your natural shade.
Price determined by products needed, if your hair needs a glaze/toner or if all over color needs to be applied. Blow dry is additional charge- $15 for Short/ Fine hair. $25 For Long/Thick.
Highlights
A basic partial highligh starts at $145. Full highlights start at $220 thick and or long hair will cost more. Extra color and toners will add to the cost. B3 and k18 added to all services as needed. Pricing is based on timining and product used.
Cut, Trims, Shaping
I use scissors, razors, texturizing shears and carving combs depending on your hair wants and needs. All cuts are washed and styled. Most of my cuts are done wet as well as dry
Short and Shorter
Most very short cuts I cut dry. This helps me to see how the hair lays and to prevent crazy cowlicks. If I start your cut dry I will shampoo it then do a quick check wet before I style it.
Treatments
I offer a variety of clarifying treatments/ Scalp facials and hair masks. As a stand alone service without steam the price is $90, with steam $110. To add one of these services to a color or cut the price is $35 without steam $50 with steam
Going Grey
You need at least 2 inches of your natural roots to be able to start this process. Base Price of $250, After 2.5 hours the price is $150 an hour and includes everything listed in corrective color. This service can take 8-10 hours and requires an in person consultation and deposit before an appointment can be made.
Blonding
Being a root touch up blonde requires appointments every 4-5 weeks. This service includes toner and bond builder. Additional color may add to your cost.
Curly Cuts Individulaized
I like the option to start my curly cuts dry. I use scissors, razors, texturizing shears and carving combs depending on your hairs wants and needs. Please make sure to come in with your hair down, dry and detangled in its natural curly state. It is ok to have some products in your hair. Do NOT brush your hair out to detangle. No headbands or ponys. New Client service includes detoxing treatment, steam and education about your curls. New to me but not the curly method? Don’t need the education on how to style? Your price will be based off length and time.
Balayage
Balayage isn’t just a technique it is also a look. This sometimes involves hand painting, babylights, teasy lights and root smudges. Once we decide on the look you want I will do the technique(s) needed to get you there.
Corrective Color
Corrective color starts at $250 for the first 2.5 hours It then goes up from there $150 an hour. This includes all bond builders, extra colors, treatments as needed. An in person consultation is required for all corrective color services.

This means products you get directly from your salon/stylist or produtcs recommended by your stylist. Higher quality ingredients along with proper PH insures that your hair stays healthy and your color lasts longer. Talk to your stylist about which one would be good for your hair.
-
Toning conditioners can usually be used right away and as much as needed. Toning shampoos have a higher PH and shouldnt be used right after a color service unless directed to do so by your stylist. Then use toning shampoos as needed and not the week of/before your color service.
-
Everyone needs to clarify. How much really depends on the individual so please talk with your stylist.
I usually reccomened a clarifying shampoo the wash before your color service with me. NO CLARIFYING TREATMENTS. If you have questions just ask.
-
A leave in conditioner is reccomended for just about everyone. Keep it away from your scalp by just applying to mids and ends. This will help keep your hair healthy, allow you to comb your hair with ease. Some also have a heat protectant built in!
-
Your hair is in its most fragile state when it is wet. Use a wide tooth comb, then a smaller tooth comb to get your knots out. Work from the bottom up. After you have detangled with a comb it is safe to use a brush.
-
Ask your stylist if K18 is right for you. How to use- Shampoo and towel dry very well. Use 1-3 pumps. Make sure to emulsify the product in your hands until it is white, then apply to mids and ends. Rub your hands together again to reactivate the product still left and apply to hair. Repeat till all product is off your hands. Comb through and let your hair sit for 4 min! When 4 minutes is up you can proceed with styling or condition and rinse. DO NOT shampoo.
-
First let me say IMO nobody should be going more than 10 days without washing their hair!
Cowashes DO NOT count as a shampoo day!
As alwasy its best to see what your stylist thinks you should do but as a quick guide
Fine Hair - 1-2 days. Yes its ok to wash daily as long as you’re using the correct products.
Fine/Medium 1-3 days
Medium/Coarse 3-5
Coarse 5-7
Coarse/Kinky 7-10
If you are going more than two days between shampoos I reccomend doing a double shampoo on wash days. Please scrub your scalp good.
-
Co washes DO NOT replace shampoo. They are meant to be used as your first shampoo on wash day or as a refresh between washings.
-
All curls are not created equal so please check with a curl specialist before picking out curl products. Often times curly clients miscategorize their curls. So don’t try this alone ask for help.
It is best to stay away from products with silicon, wax, parabens and mineral oils. Raw butters and heavy oils are not reccomended. When you slather your hair with cocnut oil you are preventing water from getting to your hair and that can lead to dry brittle hair.
Your hair needs moisture and water is moisture! Water and oil do not mix.
Don’t towel dry your hair before applying products
-
Always apply your product to wet hair. Comb your product through or use a denmin brush to evenly distribute your product.
Layer your produtcs, apply them 1 by 1, add water when needed.
Use a microfiber towel to scrunch the water/ products in.
-
Curly hair guests should really limit flat iron use.
All hair types should only use flat irons with a low heat. Please make sure to use heat protectant and never flat iron wet or damo hair.

I had the pleasure of having Kristin as my stylist for around 14 years before she moved out of state. She is an excellent professional who truly cares about her clients. I had originally come to her after a horrendous color job by a different salon. She was able to correct the color beautifully and it was certainly not an easy task! No matter how busy she was, she always took her time to make sure that I git the best results. Her expertise and caring personality definitely puts her a “cut” above the rest.

Kritin is a curly hair expert! I have very difficult curly hair with many different textures and curl patterns. She is the only person who I trust to cut it ( I even flew to FL for a haircut). She takes her time to make sure that my hair is even and will remain that way even after leaving the salon. She gives expert advice on hair hair, styling, and products. If you have curly hair you would be doing yourself a disservice to go anywhere else.

Kristin is a thoughtful stylist. She takes the time to ask questions about what her clients are looking for and will make helpful suggestions if you’re undecided. She is laid back and friendly. She stays up to date on the latest trends and techniques- she does amazing with color!

A great sadness for a women is when she loses her stylist. I was a client of Kritins for 13 years before she moved out of state. Her styles got me through every job interview, and important occasion for all the years. I usually have long, thick, fine, wavy hair which has been a source of frustration for many stylists, but Kristin always gave me a cut that looked great and I could manage myself. When I decided to go radically short and get a pixie cut, Kristin was there every step of the way, literally teaching me how to wear and maintain a short cut.
